Feeling Violette

Hello! I’m Violette, and I have had chickens for just over 2 years now! I currently have 11 hens and 1 rooster, but must have fallen prey to chicken math as I have 32 eggs in my incubator!
My flock is entirely mixed breed Easter eggers, so I get a variety of blues, greys, greens, and browns! Some have beards and muffs, one has feathered feet, and my favourite hen, Nugget, has no tail! My incubator has a few polish and silkies!
My favourite aspects of raising chickens is watching how they behave and hearing their little sweet noises. Their little petty dramas are very entertaining.
My other hobbies consist of art (digital, traditional, watercolour, alcohol markers), gardening, writing, and some light gaming!
I’m currently finishing high school and take up most responsibilities of my chickens, and recently got two kittens to keep the alarming amount of mice down. I dream of having my own little homestead in the future and become sustainable. I’m here in hopes of learning and growing! <3
