I have been reading posts from this website for a while so I decided to begin posting after I got chickens! I have a flock of five and I got my silly chicks on March 24, 2025. I’ll introduce y’all to each of them:
There’s Bingo. She’s a cinnamon queen and she is the flightiest of all my hens. She loves mealworms and she is afraid of wagons.
And there’s Dwaine the Rock Johnson. My younger brother named her this because her breed is the Blue Plymouth Rock. She loves hugs and belly rubs. Oddly, she is afraid of apples.
Then there is Meredith. She is a beautiful Lavender Orpington. She is always hanging out with my silkie. She fears nothing
Hei hei is the slinkiest of all of them. She is a black silkie. She loves to sunbathe. She’ll walk up to you and lean against your foot before falling to her side. She thinks that she can jump way farther than she actually can…
And there’s Barbecue. She is a Speckled Sussex. She loves to perch on her human (me). She is afraid of hei hei (hei hei always pecks at her specks)
