Other than bear a couple of times a year, no.Thanks. My first thought was, I bet the dogs stay outside. Have you ever had a predator problem since having outdoor dogs?
I don`t think weasels could get into the coups But if they come during the day, ours free range all day, the flocks wouldn`t have a chance.
They or any other critter would not be able to get into our coup! We don`t dare free range as the neighbors are too close. Our run is very secure as well! Sure wish we could free range though! Red tail hawks would be the biggest threat here!I don't think weasels could get into the coops But if they come during the day, ours free range all day, the flocks wouldn't have a chance.
That`s good!Same here. They're on camera, and even an opposum's nose is on a camera far from the coop, knocking that particular camera down. Our "security" was seen moments later. We know they're out there, as well as those cute raccoons, foxes, etc., and all except for the bears, nothing gets in our yard.

Sorry for the double post my tablet decided to not cooperate! Needed a reboot. They or any other critter would not be able to get into our coup! We do have solar motion lights and we are hoping the same. During the day, sometimes have a hawk or 2 flying over but in the spring, summer, early fall, lots of trees.Other than bear a couple of times a year, no.
We also have solar and electric motion lights, so at night, whether the dogs would know they were in our yard or not, they get close to a coop, they'll be lit up. I believe this keeping them at bay at night, whether by lights or dogs, just moves them along to other territory where it's easier to get "food."
Just the smell of the dog can help deter predators. I'd put yours on a leash like once a week and walk the perimeter of your property. I had to do that with our border collie, and she learned what I wanted her to check that she hadn't been. But most importantly, it got her smell there. We do have solar motion lights and we are hoping the same. If there is a weasel in the area, nothing we can do. Our dog is not outside all day, a few hours a day. Since we stopped planting sweet corn a decade ago, no raccoons that we have seen. A couple of bobcat sightings at night on trail cam, which we are hoping the motion lights deter.
