Thanks. My first thought was, I bet the dogs stay outside. Have you ever had a predator problem since having outdoor dogs?

Other than bear a couple of times a year, no.

We also have solar and electric motion lights, so at night, whether the dogs would know they were in our yard or not, they get close to a coop, they'll be lit up. I believe this keeping them at bay at night, whether by lights or dogs, just moves them along to other territory where it's easier to get "food."
