We're from Texas, living in a smallish community on the coast. A lot has changed since 2020 & we're definitely aware that we must look out for ourselves. We started a small garden for the very first time; of Tomatoes, Zucchini, Cantaloupe, & Bell Peppers. Adding Barred Rocks x2, Rhode Island Reds x2 & 1 Easter Egger to the fold has been more fun than I ever dreamed possible. (I do love animals). We have 2 small dogs, 1 cat & I'm very fond of my potted plants & bed plants that may or may not survive the Hens! LOL
All in all, I'm here to learn & share what I find important or interesting. Thanks to everyone who started this site & all those who contribute with questions I may not have thought of & the answers that help us newbies along the way. I look forward to building relationships & sharing information.
Thanks so much for having me!

What a great intro. I too started chickens to become more independent and found out how therapeutic and what great pets they have become. I have learned so much here and people are so helpful and patient with us newbies. We're from Texas, living in a smallish community on the coast.
