    SIXLETS In the Brooder

    Apr 4, 2018
Hi, I’m Joanne. I’m a young owner of 6 chickens, hence the name SIXLETS. Here’s my “interview” questions haha
    (1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I’ve had chickens since I was little, but my parents always took care of them. Now I’m getting into them myself.

    (2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have six chickens, hence the name SIXLETS. 1 is an adult, 1 is an older chick, and 4 are young chicks.

    (3) What breeds do you have?
I have 2 that are some type of pullet (I can’t remember), 2 pullet sex-links, 1 Americauna, and 1 that I do not know the breed of. I have 1 that I don’t know the breed of because that is an older chicken that I used to have more of the same breed. The 1 Americauna is an older chick whose 2 siblings died :(

    (4) How did you find out about
I found out about while I was looking for something for my chickens to play/play with.

    (5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Some of my other hobbies are singing, dancing, playing the viola, playing the tenor saxophone, and photography.

    (6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have 3 older siblings, 2 brothers and a sister. I also have 9 pets that aren’t chickens, and 6 that are. And I am in college :) (Online, if you were wondering how I have the chickens lol)

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

BYC has Topic of the Week discussions which I have found to be a great resource, informative and sometimes entertaining; so definitely worth checking out.

If you would like to share Pictures and Stories of your flock and/or other critters, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)

Including your general location on your profile will assist others. Location, climate, season etc can be important factors when members are responding to any questions you may have and vice versa.

You might want to also Find Your State Thread and pop in and say hello.
