Hello, new to BYC, new to keeping chickens. Getting a couple bantam ladies in a few days, 8-10 weeks old. Preparing their tractor now, and assembling supplies. Prevention is worth 10lbs of cure as far as I am concerned, I'm looking to keep these beauties as maintenance free as possible so as to truly enjoy their company and don't mind taking time to carry out extra steps that will save time and grief later on. Any tips or pearls of wisdom on keeping them and their tractor healthy and clean are greatly appreciated. Glad to be here, and excited to get my little chickens!

well chickens are a lot more entertaining when running around in a large fenced run. You don't see much in a tractor, they are usually very low to the ground- so you just see scratching and looking for bugs.
