my gosh are they noisy! but their cuteness makes up for it. They seem to want to constantly chew on my fingers, should I not allow this behavior or are they just exploring?
Goslings chew on everything - they're exploring. They'll gradually stop in three or four months. Or, not stop, but chew significantly less.
My gosh, they're cute!
I could take my hand away when they try to chew on it? I just dont want it to turn into nipping when they are older
Will you continue to treat them as goslings when they are older? You are paying a lot off attention getting to know them, they don't have hands to get to know you so they use their bills and toungs. If you had a mother goose she would put a stop to both of you. That is the way things should be in MHO.

I am not sure I understand what you are saying. Should I continue to let them nibble and explore me or do as a mother goose would and put a stop to it?

Well I am a oddball that thinks mother geese are the experts at raising goslings so it never would have started with me in the first place. Your birds, your choice. Some raisers think overhandled goslings tend to be more "agressive"with humans when they grow up, I am firmly in that group.~gd

Oh, good. I thought you meant you could get them to stop in some other way - which I don't really think is possible unless maybe if you're a goose.
When mine was a baby he chewed fingers, but even though he was so small, it still kind of hurt. So for pure self-protection I didn't let him much.
Now, his only bad habit is to try to chew people's pockets, especially if their hands are in them. I'm sure he learned that from a friend of mine who always has treats in his pocket and who always gives the goose a treat when he yanks the pocket. I've tried to get my friend not to reward that behaviour, but he's an older man and apparently not easy to get to change his ways. He really loves the goose, so for now I just tell people to show the goose their empty hands - that works.
