Iowa Blues - Breed thread and discussion

Hi Curt

I am hoping that it just slowed them down a bit, we'll see, some to pip tomorrow, Delawares, and Icelandics. Life goes on, Karis eggs go into the hatcher next week, and she will be sending another, and I am adding more of mine this week.

Happy Hatching all. I will post wed if there is pipping.

Jealous, I'm in a lull. I culled my old flock of birchens (OK, a fox culled most of them) and my new flock is just about ready to begin laying, 2 girls look like they should be laying any day now, the rest aren't far behind. :) Can't wait to start incubating from a SP flock! Watching the juvies grow now and waiting...impatiently.

Hi - are yours colored the same as mine or are they silvery in color?  Anyway to answer your question, there are several people from Iowa right here on this thread who can guide you along.  I would suggest you go back and read over some of the postings and then watch for new posts and join in.  All of these folks on this thread are very helpful and care about the breed.  Good luck with your flock!

Dan
They are more silvery in color. Thank you, they have been great to have so far!

Unfortunately, I am on call that weekend, so can't be 4+ hours away. Really sorry to miss it.
