Hi Curt

This pm for begining of pipping and tomorrow to begin hatching, I dont know if the power outage will delay them, or just knock them out entirely. I am keeping the fingers crossed. Of all of the others in the incubator I got four chicks that made it, two began to pip but never finished. Six embryos stayed alive. I am hoping for a lot better percentage on these. I will post as to whats happening, ornot.

I've got 13 eggs due to hatch this Sunday.......I too will keep you all posted on the results!

No pips yet,I keep checking them, I am hoping for some pips tonight and hatching tomorrow. I'll post soons I see a pip.

Life goes on, I am setting more Icelandic and Delawares Friday.

Trying to follow down another lead......and I could use some help from everyone. Has anyone here heard of Pierce and Morgan Poultry? Apparently, they breed and contact out a line of Iowa Blues that are more of a Silver Penciled pattern. I'm trying to gain Pierce and Morgan's contact information so as to contact directly as the hatchery that buys from then aren't quite as forthcoming as need be......... They are claimed to possess the purest stock, etc by this hatchery. I'm hoping maybe tomorrow I can get in contact with someone from the hatchery that has some knowledge on their strain of Iowa Blue and see what they can share with me...........

Please let me know if you've heard of them or have contact information for Pierce and Morgan. Thanks!

I like a good challenge. Which hatchery are you talking about? I can dig in from there.

The hatchery name was The Poultry Hatchery and they said that their line came from Pierce and Morgan.......
I'm calling today, early this morning to talk to someone who has a little more "authority" to share details about their line. We'll see where that goes. I couldn't find anything online about the Pierce and Morgan lines, and apparently all their breeds decend from this breeder/corporation.........

What state? I did find a reference to a Pierce Poultry.
