It’s been so fun to learn but it makes me sad that so much of the knowledge is lost. Both my grandmother’s passed away when I was little and my mom had no interest in learning so everything they new ended with then. I started buying books and collecting supplies so I could teach myself. Sourdough was the easiest for me in the bread family for some reason. Then I moved into pickling everything

but quickly moved into jams, jellies and marinades. Last weekend I made pizza and pasta sauce and it was phenomenal.
I got everything to learn fermenting but I am still in the research phases of that.
Youtube has been my BFF lol
