Irregardless of what you think....

As many people have said, we have pet peeves about words, certain usages, and things that just make us cringe. Almost all of us slip into bad grammer, especially in this kind of casual writing. This thread was started, I believe, in fun; and certainly not targeted at any particular person.

So........

Irregardless that I could care less, I aint going to sale my chickens, because I literally love them to death.

Yep, the misuse of literally is one of my peeves. And I hate woof used as wolf.

This thread just reminded me of one of my MIL stories from her Minnesota childhood. In her area of Minneapolis most of the people living there were of Scandinavian descent, usually only a generation or two removed from the Old Country, and their language reflected it. When a new school teacher objected to the standard affirmative given at school (ya or ja) the comment was "you're not from around here, are you". Even the parents did not use "yes", and it never occured to them to correct a child that used ya.

my mother works in a library in a college, There's this guy there that cant read so hes in special ed classes, He knows how to hack, take apart and put back together a computer, create computer games, etc you name it.. and if it involves a computer HE CAN DO IT, he even taught himself how to do it.. I wouldn't say im a genius or even smart (i do know A LOT more then i let on but still...), yet i rank a 121 on the IQ test and use bad grammar, everytime i take the IQ test it always raises a point or so. try to take harder ones though so that im not just memorizing the questions, most of my knowledge comes from living in the dictionary/encyclopedia :}
