Irresponsible people! GRRRRRRR

Just a suggestion...if your guineas free-range, you might want to keep them up for a few days so they don't decide to join the larger group in the woods!

Guineas will flock to each other, and you want them to come up to the house, not yours going deep into the woods. This will also (hopefully!) cause the dumped guineas to come up to your house because your guineas should be making a racket from being locked up.

Good luck!

That's a shame! My Aunt and Uncle have over 39 cats and 10 dogs on their farm. All but 5 were dumped!
They live next door to the Humane Society.

We have the same problem and we have 5.5 acres in a small town (only has a bar and a church). This year we ended up with one cat that we kept in the house. My barn cats were mean to her. Just Monday we had a dog and two puppies dropped off. I am feeding them until I can find homes for them but I sure cant keep them. I already have 4!

People are just so irresponsible.

I know the feeling. People seem to think that if you have one animal you would take any other one that they want to drop off. Cats is what people mostly dump around here. Everyone of our cats were dumped or rescued. Bringing the total up to.... 16? Not counting the litter of kitten. And of course we are responsible so we have to get them all fixed.

It seems the always have weird problems and need vet care too....

We had a cat dumped who about a few months later got his tail stuck in a fan and disappeared for a few days. We found him later.... It was not good. He got his tail amputated and was paralyzed on his back half. So he couldn't walk or control his bladder. Vet bills galore.... He lived about a year and relearned how to walk before one day his bladder quit working and he died.

Oh and don't forget the cat that showed up recently.... A big sweet tom cat. With the entire side of his face torn off.... I mean like gone, completely muscle showing.

So we have 5 cats that people have dumped, and have become forever pets. Then we also have a kitten which I found last week that we have found a new home and are holding it until they get back from vacation. Then the male with no face. The rest of the 16 have either passed on, or have be rehomed.

We live next to a large park. And people just love to dump them out there and at our house. Gr.

We spend about 2-4 times as much on the animals as we do on ourselves. With the 7 cats, 3 horses, donkey, 11 goats, 2 ducks, and 100 chickens. lol

yep, same in our area... you can see a lot of horses with shoes on mixed in with the wild herds right around autumn when hay gets expensive.

I would love to live where there is wild horses roaming freely. You are lucky!...That was always a dream of mine. We improvise by leave are gates open, and let ours pretend there wild. They never leave our 20 acres tho. Everyone loves driving by & seeing them grazing the property.

As far as guiny's go, You cant get those birds to roost in a hen house. There fine in the trees. Try to bait them closer to your yard, where there's fewer predators.
