Another thought on things to use for the bator body.

Most of you are in the higher rainfall part of the country. We're not. My hubby is an irrigation guy, and has tons of these super heavy molded plastic "boxes" that protect irrigation controllers. They're free (old demos no longer used). These are even heavier than the plastic that they make the tophatch out of....but same principle. They have a lid (but might need to some duct tape and/or rubber gasket in order to seal properly?) They have drain holes with plugs.....and a premolded grid on the bottom that would serve as the water reservoir.

Just a thought....!

I thought you were irritated by an incubator!
It sounds like an interesting idea. Are you going to try to model it after a Brower, with turner and all?

I admit that I've had my share of "incubation irritation" this year! From post office hiding egg shipments in the bushes by my front door, to the problems with the tophatch.....:thun

I'm gonna try this! I'm not creative enough to figure the turner out, so the first one will be my hatcher.
