How many of us missed Hug a Chicken Day yesterday and will make up for it today?????

I didn't miss it but I think the chooks probably wish I had. I picked up a girl, gave her a hug and decided to check her over while I was at it . Ewwww! ¡!! Bugs! :cd
I spent the rest of the day dusting everyone's bottom and sterilizing the coop. Good thing the snow held off till dark.

YAY, HUG A CHICKEN DAY!!!
My hubby loves our 4 buff orpington girls as much as I do. Recently a friend who is a basket weaver made this period-style replica of a 'broody hen carrying basket' for us! My husband put Hannah (not broody, just adorable!) in it spontaneously, and I grabbed the camera and took this photo!
I think this should qualify as a HUG!
I think they are SO CUTE!
