I've got some quail hatching next week and came across this: http://www.tscstores.com/2-X-1-X-4-50-GALLON-POLY-STOCK-TANK-P3660.aspx#.VsHhiOY6hS0 It's 2'x4'x12" high. I'll be using a heat lamp on a dimmer and, while I was going to rest it on wire on top of the brooder, I can raise it if I need to. My question is, is 12" too short for a quail breeder? Otherwise, it seems perfect. The size is good, it's got rounded corners, and it'll be tough. What do you guys think?
