Is 15 chickens too much?

i started my flock this weekend with only 6-8 in mind and came home with 10....so what i have figured out is that as fixed as your plan is...it will still vary. they had the breeds i wanted and couldnt pass them up. Goal was 3 Barr'd rocks, and 3 Black Ausies....came home with 3 barrd rocks, 3 black ausies, 2 americauana, and 2 silkies....even though i swore i wasnt gonna get any bantams....crazy how things change! Either way, best of luck however you decide!

I'm hopeless I just now counted after adding some new babies last week, and I'm up to 21:). And now I have two ducks... My son and I are redoing our pond for the ducks....:) omg I need professional help...;)

15 is alot of chickens and need plenty of space. Keep in mind that may soon be getting 100+ eggs per week! We easily get that and have many friends/family that want eggs. 5 is a good starting number with an average size coop and to get about 3 dozen eggs per week.
