Is 2 feet high enough?

Thanks so much, that was really helpful... I may use your idea in my garden, but might figure out a way to make a 90degree turn.

i would plan on the neighbor's dog making unannounced, unwanted visits.

If raccoon can't get in, my neighbor's dog is of no concern. When they see a strange dog, person, or animal they all head for the coop. The coop is covered and well protected and they are out of sight.

If you do figure out how to make a 90 degree turn please let me know. I have small 1'x1'x1 1/2' section that I put in between each section to make a gradual turn. I haven't figured out how to turn a sharp corner without making it too easy for something to get in.

I used 6 foot wire..... I had lowes to cut treated 2x4 to 69",( 1'88 each) bottom and top plate brings it to 72", each panel 8' long (4' on center) ( total cost per panel 10.00) I then drilled holes every 2 feet, put in an 8" spike cost about 35 cents each.... wire was 50 a roll at one co-op i also ordered 11 rolls from rural king at 20 per roll, shipping came out to 10 a roll.... (but shipping didn't increase no matter what I added, so I added nearly a 1000 pounds of feed and a galvanized tub)....

went to Harbor Freight air stapler 15.00

WITH THE WIRE MY TOTAL COST PER PANEL IS 15.00 .......make it any size you want...... my coop is built on the back of my 16' tool shed..... so i used the walls from that and the walls from the coop.... to create a 16 then 24 then 40 then 16..... 39 birds plenty of room
