is 25$ a lot for a chicken?

thanks and everyone i will ask him for a pic
They will probably be beautiful:) Lavender Orpington and Blue Orpington chicks usually go for around that much and then with day olds, you are never 100 percent sure they will make it to maturity or you could end up with a rooster you can't keep if your town has an ordinance against keeping them like my town.

The most i am willing to pay for an adult hen is 15-20. 25 and up for chicks is ridiculous, if anything find a hatchery with the breeds you are looking for, the most you would probably have to pay is 5-6 including vaccinations per chick.

i live in canada so the the only breed of chicks that are in my area or where i am willing to drive all only have sex links

$25 is a lot, especially if they bring disease into your flock.
I don't think people realize how many people out there continue to sell chicks when they have disease in their own flock.
Which is so wrong on many levels, yet they continue to do so.
Check the seller out...if they are a member on here read all of their posts.
