Is 5 wks old too young?

I don't mean as a sole source - they're still on starter/grower, but I thought I might introduce some wheat, unless they're too young. They spend a good part of the day in the grass getting whatever they find, but I wanted to sprinkle the wheat and let them scratch for it.
Are they too young?

ive never done that myself. So I cant give some good advise. you could feed them some boiled eggs.
