View attachment 1174748 So the past couple days Alice has been laying down more outside and inside the house but not in the nesting box and this is day two of her not coming out of the house and is still roosting right now. And I've noticed she's eating less buy still eating and drinking/pooping

If she has been roosting overnight, and moving from one place to another within the coop (as you describe), then i would not associate that with a broody hen. They usually choose their spot and sit tight, apart from a short time each day (not every day) to eat, drink, dust bathe and defecate.

No yesterday there was an egg in the box but she was laying down outside of it ill get a better pic of her and no she's not.

Try to put your hand under her. If she swells us, mabe tries to growl at you, and and might even peck at your hand.
Then she is probably broody.

Okay but she does seem off. Now I had something happen to her sister the other day but she's doing much better now she had hurt her eye when she fell down. Now affer that they had been apart maybe she's depressed ?

They free range its been very windy and rainy off and on here the last few days in Maine. I have 13 all together. The rest are all healthy and well nothing different with them. They have also had to stayed in the pen though because until today I haven't been able to put my fence back that got knocked down. They just switched to blue seal home fresh last week on Thursday. I don't give them junk for treats fruits veggies yogurt or some whole wheat bread.
