Is an 8'x6' dog kennel big enough for 6 hens?

I found a good deal on Craigslist for a dog kennel/pen that I would like to use to keep my hens in.

Is this going to be enough chicken space?

How many hens do you have? I started with a 6x12 kennel then added another 6x12 a year later. Also depends on if they get out to free range or not.

You should have adequate space for six hens-if the coop is outside of the pen, Please remember small animals can get through this type of wire and your pen should be fortified with either hardware cloth or chicken wire. Good luck and let's see photos of your set-up when you are ready.
