Is an indoor coop possible?

I just read this whole thread with great interest. My daughter just received 3 seramas as a gift from a fellow chicken person. It is icy, wet and cold here, and going to get colder. I am temporarily keeping them, indoors, in a large travel cage I use for taking my LF cubalayas to shows. We have a small outdoor coop that my large birds aren't using, but it is rather large and high ceilinged for such tiny birds. My daughter has asked if they can stay in her room. I am curious how the OP's story turned out? Did they acquire birds? Keep them in or outdoors?

Also, most parasites are acquired through contact with wild birds. Shouldn't house chickens be unlikely to come in contact with those problems?
