My first bantams are named after Anne of Green Gables characters. As the title states, is Anne an Anne, or a Walter?

Those wattles are concerning me. There is a little color on the comb, but it's not awful, and nowhere near as dark as my d'Uccle cockerel was at half her age. But I think cochins may mature shower than d'Uccles.

Almost 7 weeks old, red cochin bantam. Here are her pictures.

It's much too early, but you're right that those waddles are coming in with some color. I'd say it's a guessing game for some more weeks, so check back when they're 10-12 weeks old and we'd be able to guess more accurately.

My initial thought is male because of the color in the wattles, but hopefully I am wrong!

Too early to say yet, that doesn't look like much color.
Thank you! Fingers crossed! I actually don't care much either way, but I do have 7 more growing up behind this group and would love as many pullets as possible.

Thank you so much! I'll update as Anne grows.

I hope so too, lol. I love her either way, but I have 7 more growing up behind these. So as many girls as possible would be nice.
