I'm not thinking Easter Egger, due to the legs being not being greed, and I believe those types are supposed to have green legs. I've been looking, but am thinking, as suggested the Silver Leghorn, and also I'm wondering if maybe if could be a black breasted red game. If it is a leghorn, we're probably gonna see about rehoming

I think anything leghorn is about the only breed my husband absolutely doesn't want around, not entirely sure why. If the little guy is the game, then we'll be really excited, cause that is another breed my husband really wants to get into and keep. Also, we can't wait to know what he is, because then I can finally tell my nieces when they come over because they won't stop asking

A speckled sussex would be cool, but I've been looking around, so not quite sure if that is him, either. I know, also, that brown leghorn was mentioned earlier, but his color seems much different from the photos of them I've seen.

He is getting the greyish feathering, and a lot of it. His wings seem large for his body right now. He is staying smaller than my barred rocks, but seems to be getting more feathers, faster than them, but I don't think he's any bantam breed.

Here is a Picture of a Silver Leghorn chic at 3-4 weeks...Looks JUST like yours...hope this helps
I am Not convinced that it is a speckled sussex due to the lack of spots

I'm sticking with Silver Leghorn. If it were me, I would not tell my hubby what it is until after he grows attached and names it or else build on the rare and unusual aspect of it. I do know that different color variants of other breeds are very different in their behaviors so really he shouldn't be put-off by the Leghorn if he is basing it solely on his knowledge of the White Leghorns.

The color is ok for a BBR OEGB but I think that they also have white shanks and I seem to think yours has yellow shanks.

Thanks, well, until he looks otherwise, I guess we'll go with the silver leghorn, then. If I end up unable to keep him, then I may know someone that wants him (they are, after all, looking for a new roo) I guess I'll be looking into trying to learn more about them. I also have a niece starting up with 4-H here soon, and I was gonna let her use some of my Barred Rocks (maybe give her a couple pullets) but a Silver Leghorn might do well for her, too.

it is definitely not a sussex or welsummer. the very fast feathering is small size is a sign that it is a game or leghorn. Games especially feather much faster but are simply smaller in size than most standard chickens, even though they are not bantoms. Which it is, i don't know, but i am pretty sure it is a pullet.
