Take a deep breath. It is a number. It is unavoidable, and meaningless. There are so many numbers. The biggest thing to remember is that numbers are not actual things- they are in essence imaginary and made up. you can have 2 of something or something in the shape of 2, but it is still an adjective. I've never heard of the murderous 5, they helpful 10 or numerofobia (fear of numbers?). I can see that the religious significance bothers people, but it's only a number to me.
It terrifies me to death because I know what it stands for and I sure don't ever want those numbers on me. I try everyday to live a life so they won't ever be on me. I just hope I am gone before any of that happens!
I am not afraid of it, however I dont play with it either. Someone here said "because my King will defeat it". Thats how I feel. I am not going to not go to an address because it is 666 so & so street. However, I aint buying a house at 666 so & so street.
A few years back i needed a car and just down the road from me was a nice used one.
Belonged to the mans sister who had passed and he needed the money for the funeral.
I didn't have the amount he wanted and told him i would be back the next day but not to hold the car.
As i was leaving my husband said "look" the number of the cars tag was 666.
I said oh silly it's just a number doesn't mean anything it's an old car with a tag.
I went back the next day money in hand and the car was gone a 16 yearold bought it right before i got there.
I was glad i know how it is to get your first car and even this used car was excellent for that.
2 weeks to the day the boy was in the car and was makeing a left and forgot his turn signal and a tractor trailer truck tried to pass.
He was killed instantly
But don't you think it will be more insideous than the gov't wanting to tattoo 666 on your forehead? I mean, really. Satan is clever and sneaky. Enough people have read Revelations that 666 on the forehead will be fought with a passion. I think maybe it will be something that initially sounds like a good plan. It'll be something that is logical and people will line up willingly. Otherwise it'll never happen.
I read an interesting piece of fiction once that referenced the 4 horsemen of the apocolypse (pesitilence, war, famine, death). It related them back to things that are very normal in our everyday world. I don't remember them all, but the one that stuck was that famine was equated to dieting and the skinny image. That "horseman" convinced the public to diet and forgo food willingly. The horseman made it seem like a great thing. In the book people were lining up to pay gobs of money for food with zero nutritional value and they slowly were starving to death. This was how famine was accomplished in lands with plenty. Interesting, no?
I think that's how it'll all go down (and I have no Biblical basis for this other than just my own thinking). Everything will seem like a great deal. People will willingly go along with the AntiChrist's plans because they will seem to make sense. That's why those that resist are punished and ridiculed. Dunno. Just a thought. Feel free to discuss amongst yourselves.
