...as me in the new Dan Brown book The Lost Symbol?
I got it for my birthday in September and was so excited (I LOVED his other books - especially The DaVinci Code) and decided to wait until Christmas break and read it aloud with Feller.
Almost from the very beginning, reading this book has felt like he was fulfilling some sort of publishing obligation. The writing is bad and the story is weak at best.
The only thing that made up for this disappointment was that I read Ken Follet's World Without End whilst I was away and it was every bit as good as Pillars of the Earth.
We started reading Extreme Vinyl Cafe by Stuart McLean aloud to each other. What a hoot.
Anyway, was just wondering if I was the only one who was unimpressed with Dan Brown's latest offering.
