Is anyone else interested in cars and motorsport?

I love what Icon is doing as a company. Their derelicts are amazing, and since I"m a nutter for FJ's, I'd love to have them work up my FJ45 some day when I have more money than sense :)

As there are not very many events over summer, we're working on getting as much weight out as possible. We built the car in a bit of a hurry, as there was an event that we really wanted to enter, (which amazed one of our friends, who said they was no way we would get it done in time!) so we didn't bother about the details to much.
Sound proofing is coming out, which is a partially fiddly job; the boot door has lost its inner layer, all extra brackets for things like seat belts, and just about anything else we can think of.
Although there are a few restrictions for our class, like the door trim has to stay, so it is a bit limited how light it can go. (and the budget doesn't help)
I'm really looking forward to next year, there's some great events coming up!

@azurbanclucker have you seen the hoonigan videos on yt with Ken Block? There's a new one out with Travis Pastrana driving, and some of it is pretty incredible!
Both the about of effort it must take to close all the roads, and just his skills.
Yes. :) The most recent one also features Garret Mitchell AKA Cleetus Mcfarland and his drag ute "mullet", as well as Ryan Anderson in "Son of a Digger", who's dad is Dennis Anderson of Grave Digger fame. Pastrami broke his pelvis doing the base jump part.

Love the gymkhana vids.

Oh really, I didn't know that.
But I did know about Traves breaking his pelvis, he seems to crash, and break things in one way or another rather regularly!
I have met Rhianon Gelsomino, his co-driver, and she's pretty cool! I would like to meet Traves, but I don't think thats happening...!

Cleet and a bunch of his buddies are really holding the grassroots morosport scene together in the states. Drag racing, drifting, road course, oval track, jet boats, skiddies, they do a lot.
