Is anyone else interested in cars and motorsport?

Don’t you ever.
Hehe
Have you had the higher quality ones? They are legitimately a good ride.
I had a rental car that was a Jeep Patriot limited once. It was disgusting.

Yeah, once. That’s the only jeep that I will ever call “good”. It was a 2021 (I think?) Grand Cherokee Limited. Yes, it was a very nice ride.

Problem? They’re excessively overpriced and *not* worth it.

I was a piece of trash when we got it...... traded a dirt bike for it. now it is no longer a piece of trash. we have had it for 30 years and do not plan to sell it...... its an antique now.....lol
a CJ with an SBC swap is a solid move. I have a buddy with a 76 that has an LS3 in it. Super reliable powertrain and jeep looks.

Poppy, I compared the most expensive jeep, a Grand Wagoneer, to a Range Rover. Now, I I picked the standard “base” model for the Range Rover, and some mid-level model for the grand wagoneer. The Grand Wagoneer came up at about $111k. The Standard Range Rover; $106k. Yes, that’s a “bass” Range rover, but it still has so many more features and way better build quality than that Jeep. And better reliability. Jeeps just aren’t worth it. Get a better car instead.

Not to mention the Grand Wagoneer’s climate control screen only works half the time 😂
I would say they are both as sh!t as each other....

Morning, or afternoon or whatever everyone!
Personally, I have to say I'm really not that keen on Jeeps, but have never been in one.
But just the styling is not to my taste.

Teslas? I'm pretty sure we (me and the family) would run out of battery, somewhere in the middle of nowhere. And they can't go on fire trails! (not that ford fiestas can either)

By the way, one of our Land Rover Defenders has got a switchable exhaust, so normally its fully muffled, but then you push a butten on the dash, and it goes do a straight thru dump pipe.
Its pretty cool, and if you see the cops you can just switch it to quiet.

My all time favorite. This car was purchased by on-line police auction by photographs. It was supposed to be a donor car as it was not wrecked and I figured the motor was shot at 200k miles. She shipped with no problem and when the truck arrived we had a bay ready for her dismantling. The team was like a bunch of vultures on roadkill waiting with tools at the ready. However, something about her bullet riddled windshield spoke to me and I asked the hubby to see if she would start. He gave me the eye roll and did the things needed to do-check oil, drain the old gas, remove the rats' nests and so forth. Well, we were all shocked when the motor came to life with a confident rumble. The hubby let her idle for a few minutes then pressed the gas pedal and that 200,000 mile motor roared with power. The kind of power that rattles your lungs and makes your heart skip a beat. And thus ole Red was saved from the chop shop. The hubby and I drove her for a while and repaired what needed to be repaired, removed a couple of bullets from her, and let her go to a new owner. Sometimes you have to let a car go, and Red is where she needs to be: With an owner who truly appreciates the story this car had to tell.
