Is anyone else interested in cars and motorsport?

That's uh... Not supposed to point that direction. :p However, you learned something, finished, and that's fixable. Still a win.
The annoying things are A, parts need to come out of the UK (and shipping is um oh cost wise) and B it's looking like the front strut is bent as well, and those are also expensive. (even just getting it fixed)
Also, and this may have been very slightly the reason I came off (other than driver error) is that at least one of the synchros in the gearbox seems to have gone. So all up, needs a fair bit of work....:hmm

Nothing in a wrecker yard close?

That's cool, you still kicked its butt. Get it ready for the next one.

The rear beam (which is bent) can come off a 1.6 Fiesta, which are very common, so that can come from a scrap yard.
However, some other parts are XR4 specific, and they only brought 1000 and something into the country. (and that was 17 years ago, so there is even less now) So very hard to come by. Unlike in the UK, where they were extremely common.

Well, try not to break those pieces next time :p

I haven't bothered putting a whole stage together yet (the camera breaks it up into minute intervals, so its a bit of a bother) but I thought it would be fun to get a few of my favorite (or not favorite lol) moments up on youtube, if anyone is interested.
I don't know if any of you follow the rallies in the USA, but they are all pacenoted. So the drivers know exactly how to drive every corner, and can be on the limit everywhere. Whereas, a lot of Australian rallies are blind, where you don't know the roads, and only have a road book, which only has the odd thing if it is out of character. So, I can't commit as much, because for all I know, there might be a cliff around the corner. (not really a cliff, because that would be in the roadbook. But something like a corner tightening a lot might well not be) I have been on the Bonnie Doon stage twice before, about a year ago. The other stage I have never seen before.
