Believe it or not, it's mechanically 100%. Well, except for the parking brake issues. But that will be fixed when I slam in the limited slip 8.8

With all the LS and general hate of any other brand I was really expecting something a lil nicer than this lol.

It's beautiful to me. As for the LS, I don't hate them. I just hate seeing them put into classic cars.

Would you like it more if it was pinto powered?

I mean, it isn't, but just wondering. It's just a little 1641 with worked heads, cam, and dual kads. Not fast but It runs happy and at 190F at 75 on the freeway in the summer. Also means my kids are learning stick. A rarity these days.

Funny you say that, the one I worked on currently has a ranger 2.3 in it. Best thing that could be done to a vw. Had the 1600 when I worked on it. Motor was about toast.

Suby swaps are super popular these days. Whole thing will drop in with an adapter plate and a reverse cut r/p for the transaxle. 250+ horses and 5 or 6 speed for very little money if you can pull the engine and trans out of a wreck. Then slap some forced induction on it and pray
