Is anyone feeding ORGANIC, and what brand?

Anniekins - That's okay...I can google different brands in my tri-state area and ask at the new feed mill. I like the suggestion to go with turkey starter, that helped to get me on a track that should be more accessible.

Hi Sill,
Thank you for the tips about organic feed. I am in south-central Michigan, about an hour from the Ohio or Indiana state line.

How much in advance do you stockpile and how do you store it?

I ferment beverages on occasion, I had not considered fermnting quail food though ...I assume it must be a lacto- ferm process? What purpose does it serve and how do you manage the process?
I order every 4-8 weeks and get 2-4 bags depending on chicks I might be raising. I have around 40 adult quail.

Fermenting quail food makes it more easy to digest, can help save feed cost, ups the nutrient level, and makes their poop less smelly.
