Yes! Today my dear wife gifted me 7 fully grown Dark Cornish from a nearby breeder (or rather, she allowed me to go buy them). Other than the fact that I didn't have housing at the moment and had to scramble to come up with something, I am tickled pink. I had originally planned on getting DC chicks this Spring (and then hatch out some more the following Spring), I can now (potentially) hatch out more chicks THIS Spring! Yeah!

Of course they will be getting something special!! So far they have a can of corn & they will have a turkey carcass to pick on come Christmas day. I spoil them daily so I have to pace them! I didn't think of getting them worms till I saw this post, maybe they can have some worms after Christmas when everything is 1/2 price!

I am gonna make my girls chicken parcels.

Little pastry bags full of sultanas and rasins and corn and oatmeal and grapes - well you get my drift.
So they have to find the little bags and pull them apart for the treats. It keeps them all busy for ages!!!!

I also make oatmeal treats and hang on the coop run wire so they can get that too - Ok I do them in ginger bread and christmas tree moulds.

I just like them to have a special treat too.

Oesdog - OK I am a sad chicken lady !!!!!!

As far as housing, I don't know if you've checked out the BYC small, medium and large coop ideas BYC Home. Good luck with everything

I'm sure I'll be poking around the "rotten" produce cart at the grocery store tomorrow for extra treats for the girls. My daughter's 4H club had a Pet gift exchange, so we gave a gift of home-made feed and got a gift of seed "cookies" on a half of a pumpkin.

Im getting 3 male mallards for my Christmas Present!!!! I got them a nice safe coop, food, and a big kidde pool for them to play in!!!!

Mine are getting a Flock Block, and I have a cabbage in the fridge just for them. We're supposed to get snow on Saturday/Sunday, so between those two things they should have enough to keep them busy.
