What is a Flock Block?

The local TSC used to carry Flock Blocks, but they discontinued them (or at least I haven't seen them for months). It was a 1ftx1ft compressed block (I'm guessing on the dimensions, from memory) of various seeds/treats. Kind of like a large suet block.

Not only did i buy special treats for my chickens, ducks, turkeys, and goats - my family did, too. One sister gave me a HUGE bag of chard. Another other sister gave me a case of canned peas and corn. My other sister gave me $15 to buy them all treats. Then i bought them a bulk order of mealworms, which they have almost plowed through. But there is still tomorrow for last minute gifts!

they are all lucky chickens/flocks. Aside from the treats and everything else, they are lucky to have such great people who loves them very much.

Mine got bread, grapes and cottage cheese this morning, so I'm not sure how I'm going to out-do that. I think I'll hang up a whole cabbage for them to peck at, and maybe give them some hardboiled eggs and more grapes. They've already got a Flock Block and suet. Spoiled birds.
