Is anyone hatching on the 15th?

Here is what I had hatch. Out of 12 shipped eggs, 9 formed, 2 died in the egg trying to get out and were fully formed, and 7 hatched. I was very pleased because I have been having a lot of problems with shipped eggs.

I am loving the fluffy chickie pictures. Please post some more. Also try and include what kind of chicks they are. I'm trying to learn about all these different breeds. We are done hatching this year, but in the future I may want to try something new to add to our flock.

today is day 25 for two of my eggs, there is movement inside of them, but i am not sure what i should do. there are two babies in them, but i think only one is living. i don't know if i should help or wait.

HELP!!

I have 5 on day 23-I see movement too..If I got to day 25 I would break it where the air cell is--That is me! I don't want them dying because they were stck in there..

I have two broodies that have hatchings right now. So far 3 in one nest 1 in the other. Opps the 1 chick just moved into the other nest with the three when MOM when to get water. What is going to happen when she returns to no hatched chick. Still 7 eggs to hatch in that nest?

I am on day 21 today with a broody (another is on day 17). She only has 4 eggs, and I did not seeing or hearing anything when she got up today for water and food. She is getting more aggressive with the other broody- they tend to get up at the same time and she will attack her now, where as before she wouldn't. I am anxiously waiting.....it is our first hatch.

I am not getting my hopes up, these eggs have been through a lot....first there were 6, 2 cracked and these 4 have a little goop on them from that. Their nest flooded at day 10. The hen turned the nest box over 2 times- no cracking and just rolled out on bedding, she sat on them there until I fixed it....the hens switched nests last week, though I doubt that would cause a problem.....

Yeah, still only two but I am not complaining.

I thought at first it was one of the Salmon Faverolles that hatched but it was two of the Light Brahma eggs.
It just goes to show though you just never know how your eggs are going to do!
My daughter named them "Biscuit" and "Spiderman".

My 4 month olds will be needing mates this winter!!! 12 silie eggs to go and 8 mixed

I had to help two of mine hatch. What I did was take a wash cloth and get it warm and then hold the egg in it with the cloth around half of on the bottom part.

I then started to crack the egg shell a little at a time. But I only to off the shell and not the white membrane. The chicks had already broken thru to the air sack so I could see the head and the beak. I then took the wet wash cloth and wiped the menbrane off around the head and neck area. Then I moved the head out a little so it was straightened out. They wiggled some and peeped and tried to get out.

I then wrapped the cloth around the bottom all the way and left the head and neck out of cloth and put it back in the incubator for the chick to hatch the rest of the way.

I checked a little while and if they didn't get out I then helped a little more and warmed up the cloth again.

I wish I would have did this to the two I lost because I know that they were alive and I just waited to long.
