Is anyone Hatching on the 8th????

One of mine hatch out last night and five more are due tomorrow. I hope I get a least one more so the little guy won't be alone. I was so excited, this was my first hatch! Here is his picture

Cute baby Chickensal! I heard peeping from one of my eggs today! So excited! These will be my first chicks too. Will post some pics when they hatch!

I just went out to move my broody cornish and have several of the 12 under her out and hatched today.

We left her sit were she is for now. Her sister is sitting next door on a dozen as well. They pretty much have a lock on the top row of the nest boxes. I have a shelter ready for them. but will wait and see how this pans out. Congrats to the other new chicks laying on new bedding.

Well five eggs hatched...three yellow chicks and two black...The last eggs was a dud..now all my babies are with mama and doing well.

If they don't hatch after 21 days, how long do you wait until you give up?

I usually will go untill day 24..

I checked the last egg under her and it was not even fully formed so im glad I didnt waste time taking it from under her. How do you guys go about the process of taking the chicks away and do your hens have a hard time with that process?
