Is anyone using the Premier "heat plate" brooder for chicks?

I have been researching this brooder also, along with the Ecoglow . I've always used a 25-75 watt light bulb depending on where the chicks are located. Money is tight (as with most of us nowadays) so of course I'm trying to figure the best fit. Anyway, I would be interested in all opinions...

The Premier webpage didn't show the dimensions...they also show a 'cover' for sale but not pics showing with and without said cover.
I emailed asking these questions, will see if I get an answer......
I did get an answer from Premier saying they would add the info to the page today.....and they have done so. http://www.premier1supplies.com/detail.php?prod_id=120893&criteria=brooder

I'd be interested in the quality of the 1/2 price units. I'll let somebody else risk their chicks.
My bet is that part of the reduction of cost is that it's 110 so no transformer, and much simpler legs. Premier has a pretty good rep.

I was really impressed with the quality of their electric net fencing, so I'm sure that other products are of good quality :) I would not go so far to say "risking chicks", that's for sure!

I finally decided to open my Ecoglow today and keep it. It didn't seem worth the hassle to return it just to purchase the one from Premier since I already had the Ecoglow. It turns out that the adapter is missing, so it has to be returned anyway. (Note: it was purchased from Amazon with free shipping NOT directly from Brinsea.)

Therefore, I'm pretty sure I'm going to go ahead and purchase from Premier.
