Is anyone using their feathers?

Does anyone know where I can sell my peacock feathers? I have collected them for several years & need to get rid of them. They are stuck everywhere in the basement!!

Just as an FYI..........my DH is a fly fisherman, and he pays mucho $$$ for the peacock feathers to tie flys with. Try a fishing forum, or on ebay, since that is where he usually shops for them.

My Oldest DD is into putting feathers in hair like hair extentions. She has collected the roosters saddle and hackle feathers that he has dropped. People pay her 10 dollars a feather to have her put them in their hair.

how do you all put the feathers in the hair, is it something I can make and sell or just make for myself ??

I have collected mine off the ground for years.
My Peacock feathers are in 3 large vases.
My chicken, guinea, turkey and duck feathers I use to decorate eggs with.

And right now I have atleast 10 in my hair. I have waist length hair and I wear them all the time, I have guinea, turkey and chicken feathers in my hair and I am 50 years old and dont care!!!

And I sell packs of 5 feathers with 1 micro bead at craft fairs and I always sell out. They are so expensive at the salons.

The wreaths are beautiful.

Thanks for this info....Good to know, although I don't have the heart to pull any feathers out.......

Only blood feathers will bleed..they only have blood in them when growing in. it like pull one of your hairs out , one at a time , doesn't hurt them, only if its a blood feather..easy to tell them apart ,you can see the blood in them.
