I just got into the chicken business....lol....not really a business but my dh came home with chix on easter come to find out they were cornish hens so he went out and got 6 more well the neighborhood dog busted in our coop and got 3..so we wnt out this eknd and got 4 chix from a man selling them anyway the question is this the chix we bought from the man seem to have flaky skin is this okay ti have around my chix we tend to pick up na d domesticate our chix too. wanna make sure chix dnt have anything funky...my chix dont have "dry skin"that what it looks like..thx alisha

Is it white or clear??? Cause if it is that's normal my chicks used to have it and it bugged me but I found out it was normal.

thanks yes its almost like chicken dandruff thats the best way to describe it so its normal thats good to know

Yeah. I think it comes off of there feathers when there growing in. They have like a clear shell around them and when they start growing the shell fall off.
