Is Avian Pox serious?

I volunteer at a non-profit farm, and the lady who runs it doesn't have extensive experience with chickens, and I saw a rooster with grey and white sore-type things on its comb and wattle, and around its eye, but I'm not sure if it is serious.

Dry pox is not serious, wet pox can quickly become lifethreatening. Both cases take a few weeks to recover. Survivors are immune.
