? Is Bag Balm OK?

So my Roo Earl started to get a tinge of dark on his comb. He's a beautiful BR with a large wattle and comb.I did not have Vaseline as suggested by many BYCer's. My option...as we are iced in, is bag balm. I figured if it's good enough for my babies butts it good enough for the chickens. Then I remembered... an EMT once told me not to use it because it had some antibiotics in it.
Any thoughts on this????

I use to use my left over lansonil breast feeding cream, worked like a charm!
