Heh, I took a photo of the pages so I could use it as a reference for the next time I get chickens. I've had a flock that mostly laid brown or tan and now have a flock that lays primarily blue...I really need a good mix of egg colors. That will help make my world complete

I will stick with my RIR’s. Complete a-holes but they are my favorite breed. I actually had a hen perch on my shoulder today. She wanted treats.

My grand may had an apple tree in her chicken run. Every fall the eggs were red freckled

From Ideal Poultry. 6assorted Silkies, 2 Salmon Faverolles, 1 EE and who knows how many packing peanuts

Sounds like a good mix to me! EE are a fave of mine. If I could only have a single breed of chicken it would be them since they can lay all kinds of different colored eggs.

If I had to choose a single color egg it would be blue but I LOVE having a good mix of colors. Everything from dark chocolate to white, speckled to solid... ah can't wait to have my own flock again.

Well it looks like rain this weekend. High of 60*f though. Also had an excaped pot bellied pig today. Good thing she answers to her name.

I liked my RIR's, talk about personality plus! And good layers. But I want to try some different breeds. There's so many beautiful birds to chose from out there!

I loved my Wellies.... they were Awesome birds Looked to me to be a good Dual purpose bird.... Eggsies were spactacular and each so different from the other.
