Is BYC Experiencing Cabin Fever?

Related to the above, I just heard a new term recently ... new to me that is :

Right-fighters... or Right-fighting
A right-fighter is someone who struggles to win arguments, and is invested in making sure you either agree with their rightness or they will fight to make you the wrong one. A right-fighter is someone who gets overly emotional or angry when people do not agree with them and their opinions or beliefs. They insist on having the last word in an argument or refuse to back down no matter what.

These are the folks that are often the most difficult to communicate with on discussion forums... and probably other forms of social media ( I don't other forms so I don't know).

Anyway, we've probably all done it from time to time, and surely have all seen it done, but recognizing that it had a name was new to me.

On the cabin fever front... I saw Mr. and Mrs Bluebird checking out the bird house yesterday... I overheard her telling him that spring is coming soon, and that he better get off his lazy feathered butt and start building her a nest!

I have just given up on fighting. If they want to be ignorant then let them be that way and continue in an uncivilized manner. I’ve learned to walk away from insults.

Indeed... I've participated and moderated on a few discussion forums over the years, ranging from hobby related, to technical/professional subjects... and these "right-fighters" exist on all of them.

At some point I learned to recognize those folks, and just laugh at those posts and move on...

Life's too short to waste time auguring with strangers on the internet!

It is too bad, though that they can't be voted off the BYC island! There are right fighters and those that are simply RUDE!!!!

Have you tried Facebook? I don't comment on anything on there. The rudeness towards people you don't even know, is insanity. I was raised to be polite no matter. That's what is missing in the world currently. Common courtesy, and respect for others.

I only right fight with my husband. It seems to be our thing.
