Is candling chicken eggs on day 3 too early?

I have brown eggs too. I saw 2 growing but not the 3rd. I was pretty sure it was infertile but I waited until late day 9 anyway. I just wanted to be absolutely sure and yes, it was infertile or the embryo died at very early on.

Nope. My two are in lockdown. Hatchday is Wednesday/Thursday. I'll let you know when they pop out.

I want everyone to know that I was totally sleep deprived when I answered my own post. All I saw was that someone quoted one of my posts without any attention on whom. Therefore I, being the wonderful, thoughtful person I am, posted back. I had no idea I was being wonderful and thoughtful to ME! I guess there's only one thing to do....

Still if anyone really wants to know when the chicks pop out I'll still post it. I just never meant to highjack someone's post to do it.
