is cantaloupe rind (green lined) ok for chickens?

I have looked on the chicken treat chart and it doesnt say that the green part of the rind is ok....just want to make sure before I feed it to them. Does anyone know?

Last summer I grew some cantaloupe. I would cut them in half & feed them seeds & all. They would eat them to the rind. Your good to give it to them. Its perfectly safe. I usually chilled them because the temps were so hot.

That's the way mine eat watermelon, they leave only the thin outer dark green shell.
