Is day 1 after the first 24 hours?

Dumb question here

I put my eggs in the bator on a Friday morning and counted Friday at day 1... is that correct?

Cause based on that, they're on day 20 and I've not seen anything yet. ps. I'm using the egg carton method.

If you put them in on Friday morning then Saturday morning is day 1.
