What goats do you have. You have them in the snow wow how extreme. Lotta hard work hey.

I have 4 mutts (Boer/Nubian/Nigi). We keep them for brushing. Wouldn't be a big deal, actually, but we just had a snowstorm come through that dumped a lot of snow (by California standards). Their fence was destroyed by fallen trees and the cover for their run collapsed. Had to much out all the snow and mud. I shoveled out as much snow as I could,but the ground is so saturated that it isn't draining at all. Mud + poop + old hay = big stinky mess.

Going to dredge the whole thing out in spring and lay rock correctly to aid when things get this wet... although these last few months have broight record breaking precipitation. Poor things don't like walking in it, so they've stayed in the goat house this whole time. We'll get their fence fixed once the snow melts.

It's their birthday today. Two of them are one year old today. The other two will be one year old tomorrow.

I've had miniature animals in the past (horses and donkeys). They seem to be more temperamental than their full sized counterparts. Then again I had a full sized goat once that was a major PITA. I honestly wasn't too messed up when we put him on a bbq.
