Thank you for all of the guidance. Sweetie Pie did just as Miss Lydia said she would. She was a good momma and tried her hardest but knew when it was time to move on with her other ducklings. She was in the barn stall and figure that she must has picked each baby up and dropped them out the window to get outside. Should I let her stay in the barn with them and come and go as she wants or should I contain them? The other ducks aren't bothering them. If I leave her to do her own thing I would make an area for her to more easily get in and out without having to toss the babies out the window.I may could get her to voluntarily go into the coop at night. Since this will be their first time out it may be a good time to get her trained in that direction.
Any recommendations appreciated.
