Is Egg Taking Too Long Being Laid?

Thank goodness you took her. I hope she can be treated and your other goose is recovering. When it rains here I'm surprised at what washes up out of the ground like metal. yesterday I was out with my birds and looked down and there laid a screw. Wasn't there the day before but we had heavy rain so it washed up from somewhere.
Yes I use Safeguard for goats for worming. Valbazen is a good one too
Thank you! I'm still waiting on the heavy metal toxicity test results. Apparently, Hurricane Ida caused the testing place to close until a couple days ago, so it was delayed. Tooey seemed to be fine until today, maybe yesterday evening, too. I noticed last night she was moseying more when walking. Today she seems to space out a lot and not want to eat. She stuck her head in the mud hole a bit, but she barely nibbled at the dry food, and I haven't seen her eat grass. I even tried giving her chopped apple (which she loves), but just turned away from it. If it's the metal, it might be the similar situation with my other goose, where it was making him uncomfortable and maybe making him not want to eat.

I worry about her getting food in her, and since the vet is so far away, I was wondering if you have any experience gavage feeding geese. Is it something that a newbie can do? And what food can be given to them? Edit to add: She is still drinking water! I thought she might be drinking more than normal this morning, too. But at least she seems to be staying hydrated.

I've had to tube feed my Runner female last year it was the first time for me. And I was very surprised at how well it went. I tube fed her 5 days before she would eat on her own. I'm sure it saved her life. I used this info I just gave you here.
Never have had to do my geese. I think it might be best to get someone to help hold so you have both hands to work with.
