Is Flipper a Roo?

Bonnie is also a pullet. Her comb is big and red because she will soon be laying. With silver laced and gold laced Wyandottes it is pretty easy to tell the difference between males and females. Males will get big solid colored patches on their upper wings, which neither of your girls have.
What age is BEST to sex them?

Thanks Jed!! I've grown quite attached to them and the city of Denver doesn't allow Roosters. That is music to my ears!

Thank you!! Ive been using this site for over a year now and finally signed up haha!

That is music to my ears! I'm wondering if the same applies to Bonnie? Her tail feathers seem quite long and her comb is quite red. She's 17 weeks just like flipper
At 17 weeks she is getting close to point of lay, that is why your seeing red wattles and comb. My SLW's started at 19 weeks and had wattles and combs about the same or a bit bigger
